The 5 Kingdoms: le cinque terre (Italy)

Tuesday August, 1st 2017. As I am looking at the date on my laptop calendar, I realize we are already half way to summer and it has been a month since my last trip, and an eternity since my last post. Let’s revive my last vacation and get some fresh travel and photo content into this blog!

Last month, I traveled to the North West of Italy for a wedding, also known at Liguria and I had the chance to visit “le cinque terre”, which means the 5 lands in Italian (but the 5 kingdoms sounded much better as a title, and I have no doubt the GOT fans would recognize the reference). Corniglia, Manarola, Monterosso, Riomaggiore and Vernazza are the 5 villages part of the Unesco World Heritage Site since 1997. Those villages were built in the edge of the coast and options to travel from one to another include  train, boat or even hike. Fall in love with those electric colors, those small streets and the Italian charm.
